About me
Each of us can grasp the nature that surrounds us through our senses. We just must open ourselves to the wonders. Sometimes they are obvious, other times more hidden, but they are all around us. And the more curious we are, the more we can discover. May we always encounter creation with wonder, curiosity and humility!
It is often the case that I set off with a rough idea in my head of what I would like to paint. But so often I end up in a completely different, unexpected situation. That’s the marvellous thing about painting outdoors, but also about the creation of any other work. The artistic process always harbours surprises.
Where my path will lead me is open and unpredictable – how good! I am pleased that you have found me here and invite you to accompany me.
Encounter with a Wildcat
On a cold January afternoon, the sun was shining and the air was clear, so I decided to head out into nature with my spotting scope and painting utensils. I had no particular subject in mind and I would almost have gone home without a picture if I hadn’t noticed a small movement in front of me.
My so far last exhibition in Budapest
My exhibition at the ‘Kárpát-haza’ Gallery, formerly ‘Forrás’ Gallery, in Budapest opened on 12 May 2022. It was the 100th in the long series of exhibitions at this wonderful gallery located right next to the vibrant ‘Oktogon’ square and at the same time the last at this location, as the gallery closed with this event.
Wild animals and humans
I would say that most wild animals tend to avoid contact with humans. Others, however, seek out human settlements in order to breed in, on or above houses and to forage in our immediate neighbourhood. Well-known examples are swallows, sparrows and white storks.
